An idiosyncrasy can be defined as: A structural or behavioral characteristic peculiar to an individual or group.
Here are 5 idiosyncrasies that I possess:
1. If I can’t remember something it will drive me insane. If someone asks a question or we are in a group and we are talking about something and nobody can remember (including me) I won’t be able to consentrate on anything else until I figure it out. I don’t care if its two in the morning, I will get online and make sure to figure it out.
2. I hate watching someone struggle to do something that I know how to do just fine. I love to surf the net and so I know every website and I know the best search engines and all that fun stuff. I hate sitting behind someone and watching them not do it the way I would do it. Watching them struggle with their typing or not knowing what to type in or not knowing what search engine to use. it makes me want to rip my hair out. So much of me wants to move them out of the way so that I can do it. I think you get the idea.
3. I can’t stand when someone says something wrong. It’s not that I am a know-it-all or that I feel the need to be right, It just bugs me when people say that a show will be on at 8 when really it will be on at 9. or when someone says the name of a person or a movie or a store wrong. I have the hardest time not correcting them. Again not because I have to be right all time, its just because I know that the information that they are sharing is wrong. and usually its not important or relivent for someone to know the EXACT name...but it drives me nut anyway.
4. If my hands arent morturized at all times I go crazy. After I wash my hands they seem to be dry. If I don’t have lotion on them as soon as I get back I will do whatever it takes to get lotion even if that means I have to drive home. I own a million little lotions. One in my purse, one in my car, one at my desk at work, one by my bed.
5. I have to sleep wth at least one leg under my blanket at night. I don’t care if its 110 degrease oustide, I have to sleep with something on me. I feel like I am safer at night if I have something covering me. and I can’t sleep well if it is not this way.
